Biography:

Born in Nagano in 1969. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, BA in Design.
His installation work is achieved by scattering paintings, photographs, sculptures and videos within a given space. His paintings seem so simple that one may consider them as minimal art. Details such as roads, cars and ridge lines are drawn in miniature size. His photographic works are taken while traveling. After scanning the photographs, specific colors are digitally removed. For instance, color of the sky is processed so that there is no gradation. Also, the scale of objects is altered on the whole which shakes the viewers' sense of scale. Skeptically observing the viewpoint of modern world that is caught up with superficial aspects, he creates an entirely new and disordered world by using various media paradoxically.

He makes installation works, using various media, painting, photograph, sculpture, video.. These works exists as if they were dotted in the space. Otherwise, for photographs, they were taken while his trip. And he scans them and reduces the number of colors. Blue of sky in his photograph is smeared away by digital processing, and exaggerated as if it spread endlessly. On the composition target, his works is halved by physical elements, such as 1:1,1:9. And the measure or feeling of the scale which we have every day been systematized can be shaken. He has made another world which is different from reality, by seeing modern society skeptically.
