Biography:

Born in Tottori in 1971.
Graduated from JOSHIBI Junior college of art and design.
Her work seems as though it were illustration rather than oil painting. She paints on canvas with thick white paint, and at the end, she fills the groove with various colors. The skin-headed models are herself and her friend's grandfather. This style is consistent in her works. Also, she is specific in the size of 45.5*45.5cm.

Concept
I've been making paintings of everyday occurrences and carry a sketchbook with me to record some interesting face or form that causes me to stop in surprise. I later make an oil painting from these sketches, scraping away a surface layer of oil paint with a needle or pin, painting with lines. Words within the image create a sense of dislocation.
