Biography:
Born in Saitama, Japan in 1968. Lives and works in Tokyo Graduated from the Kyoto Municipal School of Fine Arts, Kyoto. He has finished MA course of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1993. He was awarded Grand Prix in KIRIN ART AWARD 2002 for his work 'Present Arms', a twelve necked-guitar. He has been creating mainly sculptures, exhibiting in Japan as well as overseas. He makes the essence expose which the industrial products have by 'stretching' and 'multiplying' that shape uniquely. As for motif those regarding the music that is a roots of his works are many, the shape leaves only the spirit that becomes pure and is reorganized. Yearning for something. Imagining the possibility of becoming unknown, the very pure ‘misunderstanding’,in which those are being hidden there, must produce the 'humongous energy'
